In response to requests from media representatives, the Information and Public Relations Office is authorized to communicate the following information:
The prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate – Cluj Territorial Service are carrying out investigations into a criminal case regarding suspicions of the perpetration, from 2025 – up to present, of offences of corruption and those assimilated to corruption, respectively of the establishment of an organized criminal group.
During March 31, 2026, based on authorizations issued by the competent court, home searches are carried out in 23 locations located within the municipality of Bucharest, respectively the counties of Bacău, Dolj, Timiș and Vâlcea, one of which is the headquarters of a public institution, and the rest are the homes of natural persons or the headquarters/workplaces of commercial companies.
The activities are carried out with the support of the Central Structure of DNA, the Territorial Services of Bacău, Craiova, Pitești and Timișoara, as well as the Romanian Gendarmerie.
Regarding the procedural acts carried out in this case, we state that, when circumstances allow, we will be able to provide additional details.
