PRESS RELEASE
The National Anticorruption Directorate hereby informs the public about the signing of the financing agreement for the implementation of the Program Component No. 2 - Strengthening the institutional capacity in the fight against corruption, as part of the Public Security and Safety Program (Justice), financed under the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program (the second contribution).
The financing agreement was signed between the Ministry of Justice, as Program Operator, and the National Anticorruption Directorate, as Component Operator.
The overall objective of the Program Component No. 2 is to strengthen the institutional capacity in the field of combating corruption, both through professional training and by providing technical tools to support criminal investigations.
This objective will be achieved through the following strategic directions:
• conducting training activities for prosecutors, judges, judicial police officers, specialists, and other categories of personnel;
• strengthening the technical capacity in support of criminal investigations.
The partner of the National Anticorruption Directorate in implementing these activities is the National Institute of Magistracy.
The eligible value of the financing agreement is CHF 2,000,000, of which CHF 1,700,000 (85%) represents non-reimbursable external financing.
The implementation period is approximately three years from the signing of the financing agreement, i.e. from May 28th, 2025, to April 20th, 2028, inclusive.
