CA Technologies will receive CIO Magazine’s CIO 100 Award for IT excellence

CA Technologies announced that it has been named a recipient of IDG’s CIO magazine’s 2010 CIO 100 award. The 23rd annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.

CIO Magazine recognized CA Technologies for its OneCA initiative, a program created to increase employee productivity and foster innovation within the company. The foundation of the OneCA technology platform is a combination of the corporate intranet, knowledge management and new professional networking and collaboration capabilities that leverage the best of Web 2.0.

“This award recognizes the dedication of our Global Information Services team and all of the teams involved in the launch of OneCA,” said Stephen Savage, corporate senior vice president and chief information officer at CA Technologies. “We now have a robust, dynamic communication and collaboration platform that increases employee productivity and fosters innovation by enabling employees to better share information and connect with each other.”

“This year’s CIO 100 awards draws well-deserved attention to companies that are not only innovating with IT but creating genuine business value as well,” said Maryfran Johnson, editor in chief of CIO magazine and events. “These winning companies and their IT organizations are an inspiration to businesses everywhere.”
